Friday Sermon – Remembering Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Saheb Marhoom

Notes from Friday sermon delivered by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Massih Al Khamis atba on 9th February 2018 from Baitul Futuh mosque, London.

  • Hazrat Aisha ra narrates that when people talk about the good things of a deceased person, he becomes worthy of Janaah.
  • Today the deceased person has proved that he is worthy of praise. Huzoor says that he cannot present all what has been received concerning him.

  • Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Saheb son of Mirza Aziz Ahmad Saheb is a model for the Waqfezindagi
  • He was the grandson of the Promised Messiah as.
  • The relation that is worth mentioning is his qualities. They are all better than all relations he had.
  • He was a great servant of the Jamaat. He worked with full zeal.
  • When he was appointed as Nazir e Ala he worked with great enthusiasm. He even participated in a program of Madrassatul Hifz a day before his demise.
  • He sat for an exam in his youth and succeeded and then did his Waqf. He told Huzoor that he did so, so that he may prove to others that he did not do Waqf from a weakness.

  • He was named Mirza Saeed Ahmad but Hazrat Musleh Maoud ra changed his name to Ghulam Ahmad. But said that we will call him by ‘Ahmad’ because the Promised Messiah as recently passed away and the name would be better as Ahmad.
  • He served in various capacities in many departments in the Jamaat.
  • In the Khilafat of Khalifatul Massih Ar Rabe he served as Qaim Muqam Nazir e Ala, Ameer Muqami, Sadr Sadr Anjuman Ahmadiyya.

  • Along with being in one Nazarat, he had the responsibility of many other committees.
  • He was held as prisoner of conscience.
  • He was the Ameer of the group who had the duty to take care of the families of the martyrs of Lahore.
  • Hazrat Khalifatul Massih Rabe once narrated a vision and said that he thinks he must increase his activities and at night he saw Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and he told him that instead of writing your notes with Tafseer e Sagheer, its better you write it anew.
  • His wife says that at night he would offer nawafil in such a way that the whole house would vibrate. He prayed for the Holy Prophetsaw, the Promised Messiah as, Khulafah, and many others.
  • He paid his Chanda as soon as he received his money. He made sure that Wassiyat has been paid.
  • Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and Mirza Khurshid Ahmad solved many serious problems with wisdom. People say that when these two are seen together, they know that they are going to address some problem.
  • He took much care of the poor and needy, orphans. Ensured that children studied.
  • As the Sadr Majlis Khuddam Ul Ahmadiyya, he had a good relation with the Khuddam members.
  • He had the habit of doing a job properly. He would go in depth for a work.
  • He had the quality of finding the roots of a problem.
  • He was very strict in observing the rules set by the Jamaat. He explained that one must spend what has been approved and nothing more. Permission must always be sought before an expenditure.
  • He was like an encyclopedia of history of the Jamaat. He knew a lot about Qadian and its buildings.
  • He did not care for the obstacles that met his way when he was entrusted a duty. He did all that he could to do the duty.
  • He cared a lot for the workers.
